About Pilates
Pilates is an exercise method created by Joseph Pilates to develop core strength and flexibility as well as improving coordination, balance and strength throughout the body. Pilates can be done on the floor, or on a variety of apparatus including the Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair, & Barrels. Pilates emphasizes proper alignment, breathing, & joint range of motion. The movements in Pilates can be tailored to a person’s individual needs.
About Lisa Montaño
I have always been an athlete. I played volleyball competitively when I was younger and spent many years, cycling with handful of century rides under my belt. A lifetime of sports took a toll on my body and ten years ago I was introduced to Pilates as a way to gain strength and endurance while healing and restoring my body. I have been hooked since.
When the global pandemic hit in 2020 it afforded me an opportunity to re-evaluate my priorities. With great anticipation, I decided to leave 25 years of corporate life and follow my heart back to Pilates. With the completion of the Stott Pilates Intensive Instructor Training program, I have opened InConcert Pilates. My niche, to focus on both restorative care and your personal advancement in the practice of pilates, I am proud to bring you a Pilates program that is 100% customizable to your needs. My current clients include folks who are just beginning their fitness journey, some have had recent surgery and are rehabilitating their strength, endurance, and flexibility, and others are seeking a convenient way to stay fit and strong while simply keeping up with all of life’s priorities. My journey includes helping you make the most out of your journey, whatever that looks like for you!
